Bailey is the Boss

Christine attended a dinner in a home where she saw some of our work. She reached out to see if Pleasant Places could make her new house a home as well. She recently moved to the upstate from New England and is excited to be in the warmer weather. At her initial consultation when she introduced me to her home she said, “Welcome to Bailey’s house. Bailey is in charge and she just let’s me live here and pay all the bills.” As a puppy lover myself she had me laughing from the start, and I could completely relate. Sugar Brown is the boss in our house too. Moving into a new home is exciting, but it always has its challenges. It can be hard to take furniture that made sense in your previous space and use it in a way that makes sense in your new place. Christine shared with me that she loved her bedroom furniture and wanted to try to use as much as we could of the furniture that she already had. With it being a new house, she did not want to have the walls repainted. Some of the spaces weren’t as functional as she would have liked them to be, and overall, this house just didn’t quite feel like home yet. With The New Place Package we were able to transform every single room in her house using almost all her furniture by simply rearranging and relocating some of the pieces. We added a few new supplemental pieces, lighting, accessories, and other décor to take “Bailey’s house” from a stark space to a warm, welcoming, pleasant place that she and her pet parent can finally feel at home in.
