David and Linda moved to SC from their FL home of 36 years. They were ready for a fresh start as they began their new life in the Upstate. Bringing with them only a few pieces of furniture they knew they were going to need some help furnishing and decorating this new place. Lizzy, their sweet real estate agent from The Boyd Team, referred them to Pleasant Places. She had seen our work in other homes and knew that we could help. With The New Place Package David and Linda wanted to focus on their living room. They wanted us to create a space for them to host. Linda wanted to have a place for her lady’s bible study group to gather, and they also enjoyed having friends over for dinner and card games. We had a few challenges, starting with a very large TV that needed to fit in the space in a way that was functional and visually pleasing. They also brought with them their double recliner and a large, beautiful roll top desk that Linda used often. After talking through some preliminary plans, the excitement for the possibilities grew and so did the project. What started out as a living room design grew into designing the front porch, foyer, both guest rooms, a half bathroom, the main bedroom, the back patio, dining room, and living room. Now David and Linda along with their precious pup Grizzy are enjoying this new home and new life in South Carolina. They have a fresh, functional, pleasant place where they are proud to host new friends and often have friends from Florida and family from all around come and stay as guests.
