A Tale of  Two Sisters

EC (12 years old) and V (10 years old) were ready for a change. They both had a picture pinned of what they wanted their rooms to look like, but bringing their ideas to fruition was the challenge. Their mom Lauren reached out to Pleasant Places to see if we could help, and we were happy to do so. Lauren explained that she wanted us to use as many of the pieces of their furniture as possible. Some of the pieces had been passed down by family members and the sentiment was important to her. Once we narrowed down the specific pieces that we were going to use we decided that we would switch up the rooms. EC would take V’s room and use her furniture. V would end up in EC’s room with her bed frame. Next, we were able to give them wall color suggestions, and once the rooms had a fresh coat of paint, they were ready for our team. The Designer for a Day Package was perfect for their situation. We used as many of their accessories as we could and we found some marketplace furniture pieces for each room. This helped us stay in budget. We supplemented with just a few new pieces of art and soft furnishings. We spent one day working on each room. After our designers worked for two days the rooms were ready to be revealed. The two sisters (Parents and little brother) were shocked at the results. Two sweet sisters + two new rooms + two days of design = two pleasant places.
